Celtic Tree Month of Rowan begins! ✨

'Rowan is the tree of power ~ causing life and magic to flower!

The Rowan is known as the ‘Goddess Tree’ and is reputed to have magical powers, most notably being the ability to guard and protect!

Rowan crosses, tied with red ribbon, are said to protect a house and its inhabitants if hung inside the front door on the night of the Full Moon!

In Norse mythology the first woman was thought to have been made from the Rowan Tree and the first man being made from the Ash tree. To the Celts, the Rowan was a symbol of the hidden mysteries of nature.

The Rowan, also known as the ‘Lady of the Mountains’, is used to deflect evil and to protect against witchcraft.
